After months of bargaining, management has so far refused to sign any of our key proposals, insisting on keeping mandatory overtime and refusing to recognize how our working conditions impact safe patient care. With our contract expiring in just three days, now is the time to stand together and show the University of Michigan that we’re ready to fight for better.
MNA-UMPNC nurses will be speaking out to make the public aware about what is happening in our hospital and the actions of the University of Michigan executives. It is vital that we have a strong showing to send a united message that we will not stop advocating for our patients.
Meet at 10 am on Saturday, July 16, Fuller Park Field 7 (east of blue parking lot on Fuller Rd. the Mitchell field lot and across the street are orange lots). The informational picket around the hospital will start from Fuller Field at 11am. Please note, this is NOT a work stoppage. If you are scheduled to work and cannot attend the picket, please wear or accessorize in RED while working to show solidarity. You can learn more by reviewing our Picket FAQs by clicking here.
Now is the time to stand united and make our voices heard. Tell the University of Michigan to RESPECT THE FRONTLINE and that MNA-UMPNC nurses will not be silenced. RSVP now for the informational picket!
P.S. Get informed, get involved and get your questions answered on Friday, July 1, 2022 at our bargaining update meetings at 8:00am, 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Zoom. This meeting is open to everyone in the bargaining unit regardless of membership status. To attend this meeting, please click here to register.
